Aloha United Way 211 Statewide Resource Helpline is partnered with Hawaiʻi CARES to provide advanced support and care coordination for local residents struggling with substance use disorders (SUD) and substance addictions. While the 211 Statewide Resource Helpline Specialists can offer information and referrals to more than 4,000 community resources, Substance Use Care Coordinators specifically provide comprehensive support by screening, determining eligibility, and coordinated the services needed for your care.

Overcoming addiction may feel overwhelming and hopeless, but you are not alone. Care Coordination is a free, confidential service that connects individuals with local treatment programs and recovery support services for Substance Use Disorder (SUD).

A caller recently contacted 211 looking for shelter resources because she had been living with her daughter temporarily. After a short discussion, the 211 Specialist was able to refer the caller to substance use disorder support for her questions about drug treatment and diagnosis. When you aren’t sure where to start, it’s best to start with the 211 Statewide Resource Helpline.
